Sacramento County Health Officer Issues COVID-19 Order Thursday, 19 March 2020 Sacramento County Issues Order Requiring Residents to Stay Home, Except for Essential Business.      “On March 17, 2020, Sacramento County issued a “stay at home” health directive in response to the coronavirus. Today, the Sacramento County Health Officer has upgraded that directive to a stay at home Public Health Order. A Health Order is issued for extremely serious situations, is mandatory and enforceable by law.
