Our Guardian Protection Force History
Guardian Protection Force was founded in 2010 by Garrett Thomas, CPP. What began as a singular vision to raise the bar in executive protection and security guard services has evolved into a full-scale, regionally respected operation headquartered in Rancho Cordova. From Sacramento to San Diego, our teams have deployed to provide comprehensive private security coverage, intelligence gathering, and mission-critical risk mitigation strategies.
In 2015, we expanded into private investigations and security consulting, forming a tight-knit but dynamic team of professionals. As demand grew for intelligent, ethical, and responsive service, so did we. And we continue to grow today, always in alignment with our values and standards.

Garrett Thomas is a lifelong security professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence and a minor in Criminal Intelligence from the American Military University. He founded GPF with a clear mission: to deliver Comprehensive Security Through Intelligence.
Certified as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) by ASIS International, Garrett is a respected leader in the security field, widely recognized for his meticulous approach to security patrol, threat assessment, and risk mitigation.

Ashlee Cervantes Thomas brings over 15 years of experience to her role as CEO of GPF. With an MBA from UC Davis, she is a proven leader in both the physical and strategic realms of the security world. Ashlee oversees day-to-day operations, long-term strategic planning, and innovation initiatives.
She is also the Founder of Guardian Secure Solutions (GSS), a tech-centric Security Operations Center (SOC). Through GSS, she has led the integration of advanced technologies for dozens of private security providers across California.
