Event Description
The Executive Protection 101 Series is a foundational six-part academy designed by Guardian Protection Force Inc. to introduce new and seasoned agents to the essential principles and practices of Executive Protection. This comprehensive series combines classroom instruction with physical training, covering key topics such as EP etiquette and formations, physical readiness, emergency medical response, handgun retention and disarming, intelligence gathering, and expedient weapons (tactical flashlight and pen). Developed and taught by experienced security professionals and subject-matter experts, the series emphasizes real-world application and practical skills.
Graduates of the full series will receive the Guardian Executive Protection Professional Certification, a Letter of Recommendation, a Basic First Aid Certificate (American Heart Association), and the GPF Executive Protection Pin. Ideal for both newcomers and professionals seeking a solid refresher, the EP 101 Series offers essential knowledge not found in other programs—and delivers it with an operational mindset.

About the Instructor
Garrett Thomas, CCP
Founder and COO, Guardian Protection Force
Garrett Thomas, CPP is a private security professional. In 2010 Garrett founded Guardian Protection Force with the strategic goal of specializing in executive protection, utilizing his skills learned in the field from prior employments. He currently serves as President and Founder of Guardian Protection Force Inc., an armed security and executive protection company, specializing in “Comprehensive Security Through Intelligence.”
Garrett is especially proud of his certification as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP). This certification is considered the “Gold Standard” of the Private Security Industry, globally recognized as the standard of excellence for security management professionals and issued by ASIS International.
Garrett holds bachelors in intelligence with a minor in criminal intelligence from the American Military University, an accredited and international recognized institution for Global security studies.
