Sacramento County Health Officer Issues COVID-19 Order Thursday, 19 March 2020 Sacramento County Issues Order Requiring Residents to Stay Home, Except for Essential Business. “On March 17, 2020, Sacramento County issued a “stay at home” health directive in response to the coronavirus. Today, the Sacramento County Health Officer has upgraded that directive to a stay at home Public Health Order. A Health Order is issued for extremely serious situations, is mandatory and enforceable by law. This order goes into effect today, March 19, 2020 at 11:59 PM and is in effect until April 7, 2020 at 11:59 PM, unless changed by the Sacramento County Health Officer.” Read the official Order Here.
